The Santee Riverkeeper Alliances mission is to promote respect, protect and improve the Santee River, Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie through education, advocacy and action. Goals include creating clean and healthy river and lakes that sustain life and is treasured by its people. To achieve this vision, we seek to accomplish the following objectives: sustain a RIVERKEEPER program, measurably improve water quality, reestablish native bio-diversity, and teach and practice a water ethic of ecological respect to all ages.


The Santee Riverkeeper Alliance is a pro-environment, non-partisan, charitable organization that promotes respect of the Santee River Watershed, protects and improves the Santee River, Lakes Marion and Moultrie through education, advocacy and action. Goals include improving water quality, combating polluters that worsen the environments ability to sustain life and that confiscates the environment from citizenry whom considers the natural environment a treasure not to be defiled; and 1) identifying polluters, 2) politely asking the polluters to correct the situation, 3) and if the situation warrants, within sixty days, persuading the polluters by notifying them on paper with an intent to sue, 4) and, subsequently, after sixy days suing the polluters in an appropriate court of law to inspire the polluters to assist them in improving their accountability and to help them restore their environmental integrity.
