May 2, 2009 - First Annual Santee Riverkeeper Waterbody Rally

The Santee Riverkeeper Alliance announces the First Annual Santee Riverkeeper Waterbody Rally.  This cleanup effort targets all waterbodies located in the Calhoun, Clarendon, Berkeley, Orangeburg, and Sumter Counties.  These waterbodies include ponds, streams, rivers, lakes, and any other  water body for that matter that needs some rejuvenation.  The cleanup effort also includes any trash and debris that have washed upon the shores.  We urge each group to send us their photos and garbage bag count so that we may post the results to the Santee Riverkeeper Web site.
